-plex is a modifier suffix for a system type, indicating that the system’s structure is divided into more than one section.
Terms with this suffix[edit | edit source]
A polyplex is any system with multiple sidesystems. Most terms with the -plex suffix refer to specific types of polyplexes.
Configuration-specific:
- Asterplex: a collection of asters
- Diviplex: sidesystems have different structures and / or functions
- Exoplex: polyplex exosystem
- Seeleplex: at least one sidesystem has the same soul splitting mechanism as the main system
- Tandemplex: a collection of sidesystems without a primary system
Headspace-specific:
- Caelesteplex: multiple planets contained within headspace
- Cosplex: headspace consisting on cosmien realms
- subterms are of similar size or with the "vibe" of corresponding size-specific terms
- Duoplex: two or more systems sharing a headspace
- Narraplex: complex inner narrative
- Paraplex: main headspace and several paracosms
Size-specific:
- Multiplex: 10+ side- or subsystems respectively, with at least one of each
- Quinplex: 50+ side- or subsystems respectively, with at least one of each
- Centumplex: 100+ side- or subsystems respectively, with at least one of each
- Infinitumplex: number of sisasystems is hard to keep track of
- Subplex (/ subcosplex): group, larger than hemisystem
- Sparplex (/ sparcosplex): group, larger than subplex
- Sideplex (/ sidecosplex): group, larger than sparplex
- Mesoplex (/ mesocosplex): group, larger than sideplex
- Hemiplex (/ hemicosplex): group, larger than mesoplex
