An alarach (pronounced AH-lah-rock, alternatively a suniomin or just a suni) is a standalone layer, metalayer, or cosmos, not part of any single-unit or common-canon groups with other alarachs, though they may be grouped together in layer clusters/metaalarachs/metalarachs, which are a more formalized or organizational structure, not literally reflected in the internal history, narrative, or cosmology of each individual alarach.

History

The term alarach comes from a word for the concept in the exosprache/intrasprache spoken by the coiner in fhaer homeworld in fhaer system. "Suniomin" is a derivation of Hurrian (an ancient language of the Middle-East) šuḫniōmīn, a neologism compound combining the words for "wall" and "land", hence "walled land", as a metaphor for the separateness alarachs expereince from each other, and can be shortened to just suni.

Related Terms

Alarach is an umbrella term including different layers, metalayers, or cosmoses, which are each types of headspace (or sometimes gateways).
