"Suniomin" is a derivation of Hurrian (an ancient language of the Middle-East) šuḫniōmīn, a neologism compound combining the words for "wall" and "land", hence "walled land", as a metaphor for the separateness alarachs expereince from each other, and can be shortened to just suni.
