Apiconscious refers to a system in which every member has an individual consciousness, but members can think together, forming a "hive mind" like kind of shared consciousness[1][citation needed].

Apiconscious systems can have highly individual members, but will act mostly as a collective, to the point where each facet/fragment/headmate isn’t really distinguishable by the naked eye. They will do this especially when important decisions have to be made.
