An asynchronous backspace works on a separate timeline from other parts of the headspace. Direct interaction with members of the backspace might not be possible directly, for example through past notes or messages. The backspace might exist completely in the past or on a different time system.
An asynchronous backspace occur due to not being needed or thought about and therefore not continuously maintained, or it may be inhabited by inactive members or abandoned entirely
