A bionaut is a headmate who handles external life due to being disconnected from past trauma. Because they are unburdened from past experiences (whether from emotional apathy, amnesia, or other factors), it makes them a good candidate to handle fronting long term.[1]

Related Terms[edit | edit source]

Caesian is similar to bionaut, as they both mean headmates detached from a system's trauma (whether it be bodily trauma, exotrauma, intratrauma, etc.). However, the latter specifies that the headmate in question is at least partially in charge of daily life.

ANP and idle similarly describe headmates that are disconnected from trauma, and while ANPs are also in charge of daily life, idles explicitly do not fulfil any tasks for the system.

Like outernaut & perinaut, the -naut suffix relates to fronting habits.
