A charge is a headmate whose role is to be taken care of. Often this member helps their system by having a greater willingness or capability to ask for help and/or express intense emotions.
These members are often found close to caretakers and protectors.[1]
History
The term comes from the word "charge", which historically has been used to mean someone who is in one's care outside of plural spaces; however, it is rarely used today.

Some people use little as a role label with similar meaning to charge, however little has an added age connotation that may or may not be relevant.
