Coiner | Wool System |
The term complex indicates a system member whose role cannot be narrowed down to a particular type, but still seems to have one.
Complex may also describe a type of headmate who has the ability to manifest themselves in various, unconventional ways, such as encompassing the entire collective, its headspace, or even another headmate's emotional responses and sensory perception. These qualities could be considered metaphysical in nature.
Usage
As a noun, the word may be used like:
"My headmate is a complex."
"I am one of our system's complexes."
History
The Wool System coined the term in January of 2021.
Etymology of the term comes from the noun complex as used commonly in English to mean composite. It's also meant to be a play on words, as complex can also be used as an adjective to mean complicated.[1]
