An extirpator is a system member who takes other members and breaks them down or splits them up into fragments or headmates.

They can do this with or without the member's consent. They could also not be conscious of their actions in breaking apart members.

Extirpator is not an inherently abusive, inhumane, or persecutory position. It can result in system chaos, but extirpators often serve a necessary role and don't often choose their ability.

Related Terms[edit | edit source]

The inverse of an extirpator is a builder or artisan, or a headmate who creates new system members, often using existing fragments. Some systems with a extirpator may end up being polyfragmented.
