An extranthrope (or extranth for short) is a nonhuman member in a system. It was coined as an alternative self-identification for those who do not want to use the term otherkin to describe themselves. Many extranths may also consider themselves a part of the alterhuman community, although not always.

Systems who are mostly made up of extranths or generally have many of them may choose to use the label extranthaeic.[1][2]
