Factives are headmates that are based on a factional or non-fictional source, like another person. Sources can include celebrities, historical figures, friends, abusers, or anyone else. The source can be a singlet or a member of a system (including their own, or someone else's).

Introject is an umbrella term which includes fictives and factives, which can be considered medical and avoided by certain types of systems.[1] Though some systems consider the term to be open for use in a non-medical context. The term should not be used for systems without their consent.
