A frontlocked headmate is one that is unable to leave front (or is "locked in front").This is normally for a long period of time (months to years or even forever).
A frontlocked headmate can rarely eventually leave front. This is not the same as frontstuck, as these headmates usually cannot leave front at all or "frontlocked" when it is not used to refer to a specific system member, as other headmates are able to come and go into co-front as needed.
