Glossotien is a system, sisasystem or headspace, that has inworld languages/exosprache/intrasprache and experiences different, fluctuating, or varied levels of communication difficulty due to the different languages spoken in the system and/or its headspace.
For example, a glossotien system may have normal communication irrespective of language normally, but sometimes have difficulties understanding each other inworld due to the differing languages spoken by the system members. Alternatively, a glossotien system may normally have in-headspace language barriers, but be able to override them (semi-)easily if something is important or needs to be communicated.
Glossotien comes from the Greek word for "language".
