A hemiplex is a group within a system that is more distinct or larger than a sideplex. Hemiplexes may be a collection of mesoplexes, sideplexes, sparplexes, subplexes, hemisystems, mesosystems, sidesystems, sparsystems, subsystems, and/or similar groups.[1]

A hemiplex is a type of sisasystem, and may be part of a sisasystem cluster, which is called a Hemiplex cluster, or a kyarriruk in the Fhinanara-kah terminology system (a hemiplex is called a Kyarri in that system).

A hemiplex is sometimes, but not necessarily, a variety of polymer.
