A heraicen (HEH-ra-sen or HE-ray-IS-sen) is a headmate who can function as both a caretaker and/or a persecutor depending on the situation.

History

Heraicen was coined on April 6, 2022 by the Chiron Collective, who noticed that there weren't any terms to describe this experience. They coined this term for a headmate of theirs, who is this role herself and who recommended that the name be derived from Hera, the Greek goddess of marriage.

Related Terms

A janusian is a headmate who can function as both a protector and/or a persecutor depending on the situation.

Caretaker and persecutor both have many subterms; soother, guide, and hygienist for the former, and swordsperson and avenger for the latter. While trechtor is not a role, it could be a useful descriptor as well.
