Innernaut is an antonym to outernaut/perinaut. An innernaut is defined as any headmate who does not presently take on the role of primary fronter, host, and/or co-host of a system. As innernaut is a blanket term, one may or may not still front, and they may or may not take on other roles. An innernaut may later become an outernaut or vice-versa.
Term Origin[edit | edit source]
"Inner" means "inside or contained within something else."[1] The suffix "-naut" was chosen to cement innernaut as an opposite to outernaut.
