Masochist is a role that describes a headmate who is masochistic in nature, specifically as part of their role. These tendencies may be on their own, or part of another role.
A protector may hold these tendencies so they can better protect the system by enjoying things that they protect the system from. It might also be part of a persecutor's role, as they may carry these tendencies so that harming is easier on them and harder on the rest of the system.
This is specifically a role, rather than just a preference.
