They might have these tendencies as a role on its own, or it might be part of another larger role such as a protector that holds these tendencies for their own sake so they can better protect the system by enjoying certain things that they protect the system from. It might also be part of a persecutor's role, if they carry these tendencies so that persecuting is easier on them and harder on the rest of the system.
