A median layer is a layer (or metalayer, cosmos, or alarach) where all inhabitants are median (to equal or varying degrees) with each other, for whatever reason. This may be due to being in a larger median system or as the headspace of a median system, but isn't always.[1]

A mediple layer is a layer (or other headspace) wherein all inhabitants are mediple (to different or equal degrees) with one another, which can be for a variety of reasons, including being the headspace of a mediple system or sisasystem.
