A medianmate is an alternative term for a headmate who is a member of a median or mediple system (including sisasystems). The term was coined to provide an alternative to the common facet language, which can be seen by some members of median and mediple systems as de-emphasizing the personhood and fullness of members of median systems, being similar to fragment in that it can unintentionally imply that facets aren't "full headmates."
