Memory management refers to how memories and memory sharing are managed.[1]

Types of Memory Management

  • Memories: Managed: Access to memories is controlled/managed, like by a gatekeeper.
  • Memories: Atrial/Combed: There is a specific reservoir of memory for fronting, leading to possible amnesia between members, but not between switches.
  • Memories: Mixed: A mix between shared/segregated.
  • Memories: Poor Recall: Memory is poor in general, often because of comorbities.
  • Memories: Segregated: Amnesia barriers exist between members and there is memory loss between switches.
  • Memories: Shared: Memories are shared between members/switches.

Systems may not fall into these categories easily, and the type can change over time, or differ between sisasystems.
