Origincomes from Latin Medacium, meaning "a lie, fib, or falsehood"

A mendabased headmate was given false information about themselves, on purpose or otherwise, which eventually became a part of them or a truth to them.

This applies to any information about the member that wasn't necessarily true when they first formed. The information may be presented via purposeful lies or by mistakes or misunderstanding, it is perceived as true and incorporated by the member in question in any case.

Once a headmate learns of the false information, they may decide to remove it through means such as counteracting affirmations, memory altering, or other means. Once the false (or menda) information has been removed, they may not consider themself to be mendabased any longer.

For example, as given by the coiner, an introject may be sourced from a 14 year old. They might be told that their source is actually 11 years old, and their age may shift to reflect this belief, making them (or their age) mendabased.
