Noxian denotes a headmate's origin as being related to sleep or dreams in some way, intended as a large umbrella term.

It could be used be a noun (i.e., "being a noxian'") or an adjective (i.e., "of noxian origin").

History

The Wool System coined Noxian. The word's etymology comes from Latin nox, meaning "the personification of night".

Related Terms

Noxian encompasses nightrojects (and noctostrata in general), dreagenic, and other specifically-sleeping-at-night labels. It's not to be confused with MaDD or neuronarrating terminology, like dreamway systems or paratives.
