The term paragenic describes a system's origin as having been caused or influenced by Maladaptive Daydreaming Disorder, neuronarration, immersive daydreaming, or other alike neurodivergencies.[1]

Related Terms

Para- is the prefix for many daydreaming related terms, for example:

  • A para is a character within a daydream.
  • A parame is the point-of-view character, and if they
  • Paracosms are the internal imaginary worlds many daydreams take place in.
  • A parative is a headmate that was originally a para in any way. (Similarly, a prevera is a para that actively gained self-awareness and joined the system that way.)

Paragenic might be used to describe the origin of a dreamway system, but not exclusively.
