A pear wiggler is an environment, either internal to a system or external, including by a community the system is a member of (such as a locked channel in a Discord server), that is used to put persecutors in 'time out' or isolate them while they are acting harmfully.

It originated from the Tumblr meme of the same name[1] being added to the persecutors channel of the Umbral Domain Discord server, and subsequently being adopted as a colloquialism.
