Physiobased refers to a system whose members, structure, and/or functions are affected by chronic pain and/or physical disability. This means chronic pain and/or disability has affected the way the system exists, but is not necessarily an origin. This could mean that the system has one or several shock absorbers or medics to deal with pain and physical symptoms, that some headmates could be categorized as spoon generators or spoon stealers, that the ability to communicate internally is affected by pain levels or amount of spoons, or anything similar. It could be aligned with physiogenic systems.[1]

Related Terms[edit | edit source]

If a system has experienced trauma due to medical situations, ableism, or anything else connected to their chronic pain and/or disability, they could be traumabased as well. If a system experiences significant stress due to their chronic pain and/or disability, or anything related to it, they could also be stressbased.
