Polietien is similar to moneotien in that the term refers to a system with a very consistent front, the difference being rather than one headmate fronting the majority of the time a Polietien system would have a (fairly) static group of headmates fronting at least 80% of the time.[1]

Typically the amount of headmates in this group is between 4 and 10 but this, nor the 80% statement above, are hard and fast rules.
