A pre-fictive is a headmate that did not start out as an introject but later gained a fictive identitiy or feels like it is relevant to them.

The source gained may be considered a transformative source.

If the source gained is specifically a face or visual appearance, the headmate may be considered a (pre-)facetroject or (pre-)vistroject.

The factive equivalent to this is pre-factive.

If the headmate in question previously already held an introject identity, they may be called dualfictive or multifictive.

Pre-fictives may or may not be amalgams or composites.

A headmate that started out as a fictive but disconnected from their introject identity may be called a post-fictive.
