Quoigenic is an origin term used to indicate that the user does not know their origin, does not want to share their origin, does not think their origin is relevant, or thinks it's the wrong question to ask.

Variants[edit | edit source]

Quoidawn is a more specific variant referring to sisasystem origin, using the -dawn suffix.

History and Etymology[edit | edit source]

Quoigenic originated from a series of Tumblr posts from 2014; notably, this post by Collective Solipsism. The definition was further cemented in this response to an ask on lizardywizard's blog.

The term uses the quoi- prefix, which comes from the French word "quoi" meaning "what"[2], emphasizing uncertainty or unknown.
