Survivalmate/Survivalist is a role in which a headmate fronts during survival situations in order to live/exist through the situation. Survival situation can mean a situation that requires emotional survival skills such as masking, recognizing red flags, setting/keeping boundaries and etc., and/or physical survival skills such as fighting, medical knowledge, wilderness survival knowledge, etc. This differs from a protector because they do not generally want to live through a situation to protect the system, but because they have the skills to live through it.
Headmates with this role may be considered a protector but not always.

The term was coined in the Pluralpedia discord server after This is it had been asking if the term already existed. Which resulted in getting helped with writing a full description on it by Quasar System.
