The Becoming refers to when a system’s count decreases (or when a system collapse occurs) and the system is trying to preserve its members. This may be done by keeping them in a stasis of sleep for an allotted time period until it is deemed safe for them to again be in the system.

They may come back as either new members with no memories or resume their previous roles and regain their memories (with the exception of partial memory loss). Members arising from this may be called the became.
