tw- mentions of: possible trauma, death, violence

refers to after a system collapse

name: the becoming

how it works: after a system collapse, the alters that go "missing" are sent to a great open space that houses all of the alters affected by the collapse in this space, the affected members are surrounded by a healing green light- they are at an eternal slumber until triggered out

appearance: the affected members that have been triggered out and are in the system again are considered "new" alters, and may choose to keep their old names or choose new ones [they may even choose to keep their old names in their bio somewhere, as a sentiment] - but their personas and somas may change slightly or drastically

>> to the others of the system, they will still appear as they did before the collapse for a time (this is only due to the adjustment period, there will be a grace period where the decision will be made by the new alters to change form or stay the same), it's an adjustment and may take some time to learn that these alters were affected by a devastating tragedy, and their somas and their personalities may have changed as well (to cope with the trauma)...

behavior: the be-came [the affected members] will behave as new alters, (with the exception of small, minor verbal and/or physical relapses in their psyche of their former selves’)

awareness & memory: the new alters will have dream like remembrances of their lives here, but other than that, they wont have any memories linked to being in the system.

Notes:

- The alters that are affected can choose to come back to the system, those that do not may never come back at all- - The new alters may have already taken their grace periods where they were and have come into the system, but we may not know whether it was one of the affected that have come or not (because of the new name and soma) – but they may start exhibiting the habits a previous member that is no longer here had, arising suspicion that this new alter had been a part of the system before and was also directly affected by the collapse [though this cannot be proven when its come this far, the best thing to do would be to ignore previous affiliations and accept the new alter as they are] – it is not fair to the new alters to assume anything about their identity, so if such discussions arise, please be sure to reassure those members that it is alright, and to accept the new changes
