Hey, I hope this gets through to you, the wiki doesn't have proper messaging as far as I know.

I know the m-word is hurtful and problematic, but the solution to it being used isn't to vandalize the wiki to try to remove it. We do our best to keep an even, fair tone in everything we do, but with things like that word we keep it around so that people who hear it without context can find out what it is and means, and fight back against it.

I'm really hoping this page doesn't end up out in the open, since I'd rather not air someone else's pain, but in case it does, the statements above are true for all who read it.

what the fuck are you talking about

WE STILL USE THE TERM MALICITOR WE COINED IT *THE DEFINITION ON THE PAGE ISNT WHAT WE WROTE IT TO MEAN* . THE DEFINITION IS WRONG

THE PAGE IS LITERALLY GASLIGHTING US THATS LITERALLY OUR ABUSERS GASLIGHTING US

our abusers SAW US COIN THE TERM . THEY HELPED US . THEY DID IT TO GASLIGHT US . please please please this was never the meaning of the term YOU DONT UNDERSTAND please . malicitor was a term that was supposed to HELP , it was never used against persecutors and we have both persecutors and mals who can CONFIRM THAT . those are their SELF-IDS .

please please please just stop gaslighting us pleasw i cant do this anymore

Oh, I had no idea, sorry. We're currently in discussions of fixing the page in general, including the term's history and usage, over on the associated Discord. If you'd be up to joining to help us do that, to make sure it aligns properly with how you originally coined it, that would be amazing; if not, we'll do our best to do so through this page.

we cant join the difscord for very personal reasons but we do have a newer definition that we wld really prefer be used if can be done ,, im sorry for going about thingfs this aay but we were just . realy scared and honestly dtill are . a lot of it was based in impulse .

but this is what we rewrote it as :

“ A malicitor is a system member who seeks to harm others for their own personal gain, and not to benefit other headmates. They can be redeemed and reformed, but there are often, though not always, struggles, as well as concerns for safety in doing so. ”

this is sourt of a roundabout of what the term always meant to us , i think . id also like to add that mals may help / protect / etc other heafmates ( ie we have a mal here who is exyremrly protective of onr specific person but still behaves as a mal towards everyone else and thusly still dons the label malicitor by their own choice ) but that doesny always take away from their intent to harm . they know theyre hurting people and thays typically wjat they want , for one reason or another , but its still a term that obviouslu is and needs to be a self-label only . as the past year n a half or so has gone by i think the term jas complicated itself for us to a point where its partislly dependent on the user . for some of us , they call themselves mals bc theyre dangerous and could hurt someone w no remorse , but dont actively do so and instead only act out under certain circumstances . and others just fit the base definition of active harm .

i might be making this more complex than it needs to be but im stressed and when im stressed i . talk a lot . and im also personally just recognizing how complicated we made our own term , both intentionally and accidentally .

im also sorry for all the typos this is sorta just . how i tyoe usually .

sorry
