A bridged sidesystem, also called a linked sidesystem, is a type of sidesystem that is parallel to another, but has some kind of bridge between the sidesystems that allows headmates to travel from one sidesystem to another easily. This could be seen as a literal bridge, or something that acts like a bridge. All of the sidesystems are within one body.

Much like normal sidesystems, there may be a primary system that most of the common fronters come from, or all sidesystems may function equally.

This term can also be used to describe a system that may be connected to another outside system directly; these would be called linked or bridged systems.
