A census-taking fragment is an archival fragment that is specifically associated with or formed to either take count of new members or take count of all existing members. This can either be to categorize, or for organization.
Some of these fragments may be an animal, or nonhuman in some way, and may scout out headmates to count like a hunting dog or a retriever.
