confuser ( n., adj.)
SynonymsInvalidator, Deflector, Denialist
Applies toheadmates

Confusers are headmates whose role is to purposely misdirect the system from learning about its trauma.

This can come in the form of providing false information to professionals, creating contradicting memories, denying the truth to other headmates, and “shutting down” the system, if new memories are accessed in some way.

Not all confusers know about the trauma itself. Some only know that their job is to lie about it.

A system may have unique names for different kinds of confusers (invalidators, denialist, deflectors, disowner, etc.)

A confuser may be a secret keeper or work with them.

This kind of headmate can be created during programming to protect the abusers, but is not exclusive to this type of trauma.

Confuser is a very useful module for mind middleware. Since memories can't really be erased, long term obfuscation might be a good option.
