A daydream holder (alt. daydreamer) is a type of symptom holder who holds onto maladaptive daydreaming symptoms. This may be to prevent other sysmates from becoming distracted by daydreams, they may act as a destressor that relieves the system by daydreaming, or they may front when the system is getting the urge to daydream. They may also only be linked to one specific daydream paracosm, rather than all of the system's daydream paracosms, making it likely that several daydream holders may be found in one system.

This term was coined by the host of A Shattered Dragon's Spirit on the 6th of September, 2023, to describe the role of two of his bondalters.
