A disabler is a headmate that has the ability to disable certain abilities the body has. They could be able to disable multiple things at once (or at different times), or only one. A disabler may or may not have the abilities they disable when fronting or in headspace, and they usually only disable these abilities on other headmates, not themself.
If they don't normally have this ability, they may receive the ability as long as they have disabled it from someone else. Doing this is called stealing. An example of stealing is if the disabler is originally visually impaired when fronting and/or in headspace, but they cause another headmate to be visually impaired (when they normally are not) and the disabler can now see clearly.
When stealing, a disabler may lose their gained ability when the headmate they stole it from gets it back. The ability could be returned voluntarily or involuntarily.
