A dreamway system is a type of gateway system. The primary distinctive aspect of such a system is its particular structure; possible worlds to be accessed are comprised of daydreams and paracosms[1].
There is no limit to the amount of paracosms systems may be able to access. Each world may exist on varying levels.
Not all dreamway systems have members derived directly from daydreaming; sometimes the word "dreamway" is used to indicate a system's incorporation of paracosms into a gateway system's typical nature of having numerous accessible worlds within a headspace. This means that headmates can be of any origin, rather than collectively being paragenic.
History[edit | edit source]
The term "dreamway" was originally introduced by the Tumblr blog quoipunk[1]. More terms relating to dreamway structures and neuronarrative aspects of plurality have since been coined by various systems.
Related Terms[edit | edit source]
A dreamway system is typically resulted by the having of Maladaptive Daydreaming Disorder or other strongly present neuronarrative qualities.
Dreamway systems often have members that are of parative origin. Not only paras are capable of becoming headmates; so too are parames and even paracosms. While the term paragenic is not limited to expressing the origin of dreamway systems, it does apply to such structures.
Dreamway systems are often paratien, or when a system's headspace is fused, overlaps, or is the same as their paracosm.
