An extranthrope (or extranth for short) is a nonhuman member in a system.[1]

History[edit | edit source]

It was coined by neutrois-lesbadger on Tumblr as an alternative self-identification for those who do not want to use the term otherkin to describe themselves.

Many extranths may also consider themselves a part of the alterhuman community, although not always.

Related Terms[edit | edit source]

Systems who are mostly made up of extranths or generally have many of them may choose to use the label extranthaeic.[2]

An extranthrope who is attracted to other extranthropes is called an extrivian.
