An imagian is someone that feels that their imaginary friends make them feel plural and/or make them plural. The imaginary friends in question may also be referred to as imagi or imagimate.

Not everyone with imaginary friends may consider themselves plural or imagian, and those with this kind of plural experience may use or prefer any kind of plural terminology, and may use "imagian" as an additional modifier.

Imagian Terms[edit | edit source]

The following terms were coined together with imagian:[1]

  • Functioner: the person/member that controls the body
  • Attendant: an imagi that comforts or encourages the functioner and helps with daily tasks and functions
  • Defender: an imagi that protects and defends all other imagi and the functioner
  • Imagitive: an imagi based on a fictional character (not to be confused with imagitive, an introject of an imaginary friend)
  • Imagictive: an imagi based off a real person or being
  • Transfer: the functioner acting, speaking for, or otherwise letting their imagis influence them

Additional imagian terms:

  • Fracture: a period during which an imagian may feel that their imagis have disappeared
  • Restore: a functioner intentionally bringing an imagi back out of a fracture
