A system's introjection threshold refers to the ease of which they introject headmates from outside sources. It can be high, low, or anywhere in between, and can differ between sidesystems and subsystems.

This is not the same as a system's frequency of general splitting; an introjection threshold is just for outsourced headmates. Many systems that have a low one are fictive-heavy, factive-heavy, or generally introject-heavy.
