A sideplex is a group within a system that is more distinct or larger than a subplex. Sideplexes may be a collection of sparplexes, subplexes, hemisystems, mesosystems, sidesystems, sparsystems, subsystems, and/or similar groups.[1]

A sideplex is a type of sisasystem, and may be part of a sisasystem cluster, which is called a sideplex cluster, or a machnaruk in the Fhinanara-kah terminology system (a sideplex is called a machna in that system).
A sideplex is sometimes, but not necessarily, a variety of polymer.
