A midtrotive is a system member who is based on or around a source. The source can be both fictional and non-fictional, and it can come from both within or outside of the system.

The term is a mix of introject and -tive, both terms which have been used to describe sourced members. The prefix mid- means middle, as it is meant to be a bridge between the terms.

History[edit | edit source]

The term was an idea from the coiner after a bit of a disagreement over the use of the terms introject and introtive, mostly about which should be used.
