A nightmare absorber is a headmate who absorbs another member's nightmares and possibly sleep paralysis to deal with it themselves. They may do this in the headspace or when fronting, and executing their role may be involuntary or unintentional.
A nightmare absorber may absorb the nightmares and sleep paralysis of a single headmate, a group of headmates, or of the system as a whole.
