Origin-agnostic is a term for systems that don't know the specifics of their origins.
"Origin-agnostic means 'we might have some ideas about how we got this way, and we might even possess a great deal of faith in those ideas, but at the end of the day, neither we nor anyone else can ever really know for certain.'"[1]
History[edit | edit source]
Origin-agnostic was coined by Panopticon, a system that has since become infamous for attempting to start multiple online cults. LB Lee wrote a book detailing their harassment and online cults in 2019. This book, titled "Cultiples #3: Panopticon and the Gallifreyan Tradition Society" has since been used to warn others about their behavior and involvement in multiple online communities.[2]
