Polyplural is an umbrella term for a system that has a complex structure with many layers and/or sisasystems. It encompasses terms such as polyfragmented, polymedian, and polymultiple.[1]

Related Terms[edit | edit source]

This term is meant to mirror polyfragmented, but replaces -fragment with -plural to apply to people who would otherwise fall under the polyfragmented label but do not want to use the term or want a different term.

Beyond what is covered in the definition, polyplural can also be used in the context of more specific number labels like polyfractal. The poly- prefix is often used to indicate a system of 100 or more members, and it may be exchanged for the magni-, kilio-, or astra- prefixes to specify 500+ (magniplural), 1000+ (kilioplural), or infinite / indefinable (astraplural) headmates.
