Quasigenic is a system that was possibly formed due to multiple origins, but doesn’t feel like they completely formed due to multiple, or feel like they’re “halfway” to being mixed origins.

Alternatively, it can be for systems who don’t use origin labels, are origin flippant, or are mixed origins, who don’t feel particularly connected to any one origin label, despite being formed a certain way(s).[1]

Related Terms[edit | edit source]

Quasigenic may be considered a subtype of Quoigenic as well as Praesigenic and Mixed Origin. Its subtypes are quasi-adaptive, quasi-spontaneous, and quasi-spiritual.

This term and its subtypes imply the prefix "quasi-" as indicating that a term somewhat describes and experience but does not fully match it, similar to the demi- / semi- prefix.
