Rotatien refers to a system that experiences frequent collapses that result in an empty system/singlet. The system then resplits, leading to a number of distinct consecutive origins.

The system may have a single repeating origin, cycle through a small number of origins, or experience many different origins with each rotation.

Such a cycle does not necessarily follow a pattern or repeat, and multiple origins can occur simultaneously for each rotation.
