Sensual relievers or sexual relievers are headmates that relieve sexual tension by helping to masturbate or teach masturbation to other sexually repressed or sexually needing headmates, usually in the confines of the inner world. When a sensual reliever is restricted to only those who are close to them, that is a limited sensual reliever.

This term was coined by Nuviel of the Clever Feathers Clan. Specifically so Nuviel could have a term to express how they help with the more sexually repressed headmates of the system.

This is a type of Reliever. A sensual reliever may also be a sexual protector or a sexual alter. This type of headmate has much overlap with a hyperérosian or appellisian, but the difference is in how those urges are expressed. Instead of general hypersexuality, this headmate's sexual urges are channeled into helping and eventually wanting to be helped by any highly sexually needing headmate — once they are comfortable enough with each other, that is.
